Authorities are investigating a car-versus-pedestrian collision that killed a 31-yr-outdated person just south of Redding early Tuesday morning, the California Freeway Patrol explained.
The person died when for unknown causes he walked into the route of a 1999 GMC that was traveling west on Canyon Highway east of China Gulch Street, investigators stated.
The accident was reported close to 5 a.m.

Investigators mentioned the Redding guy, whose identity was not released, was going for walks west on Canyon Street.
The person driving the GMC was not injured, the CHP explained.
