Manchester United are set to try out a new transfer policy for their young players to help their development under Erik ten Hag.
The new United boss is set to undergo a huge clear-out of his squad this summer as he sets about starting his Old Trafford revolution. While a number of sales are expected, young stars will also be allowed to leave on loan although reports suggest United are changing how they go about finalising such deals.
It comes as Jose Mourinho’s stance on selling AS Roma forward Tammy Abraham to United has become clear. And United are reportedly weighing up a move for Hoffenheim full-back David Raum.

Ten Hag’s new transfer policy
Manchester United will reportedly bring in a ‘try before you sign’ policy for young prospects looking to spend next season out on loan elsewhere.
A number of young players have struggled to get the first-team experience they were hoping for when leaving the club in recent years. And reports now say that United will look to rectify this problem by sending youngsters on trial for three weeks to any clubs who want to sign them on loan.
It is hoped this will allow the players to be assessed in person and also give the player the chance to see if he likes his new surroundings.

Abraham warning sent
AS Roma manager reportedly sees Manchester United target Tammy Abraham as “unsellable” in a warning to the Red Devils as they weigh up an approach for the striker.
The ex-Chelsea star enjoyed a very impressive first season at Roma as he finished the year as his side’s top goalscorer with 27 in all competitions as Roma won the Europa Conference League. And after United missed out on signing Darwin Nunez, who ultimately opted to move to Liverpool, Abraham has reportedly caught the eye of United chiefs.
But Mourinho’s stance could provide an obstacle to United’s hopes of bringing in the England international this summer.

Raum linked
Manchester United can help reported target David Raum fulfil his “dream” by signing him this summer.
The Red Devils have been linked with the Hoffenheim left-back, who managed an impressive three goals and 11 assists in 32 games last season. And the defender recently said it’s his “dream” to play on the “international stage”, meaning a move would allow him to fulfil this ambition with United in next season’s Europa League.
It is reported the 24-year-old would cost around £36m , although United face competition from a number of clubs who can also offer European football next season.
