The major small business ideas will get up to $45,000 awarded in seed funding to start at least a few enterprises in the downtown Culpeper, in addition to ongoing mentor and in-variety support.
The Culpeper Competes specified place focuses on the heart of the historic downtown. Covering .22 square miles, the designated location features the Culpeper Downtown Urban Improvement location. The designation encourages adaptive reuse of present properties, higher density new design and intentional structure to complement Culpeper’s historic properties.
The competition’s selected area also overlaps more current incentive zones, together with the Business Incentive Zone, Culpeper Chance Zone and the Culpeper Tourism Zone.
