Erling Haaland: Where will he end up?
Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has discussed his role in Norway teammate Erling Haaland’s pending transfer.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is set to be one of the most highly sought-after signings of the summer transfer window when a £62.7million release clause in his contract becomes active at the end of the season. The Norway international has been linked with some of Europe’s top sides, and Odegaard has admitted he has been helping Haaland make his decision.
It comes as former Gunners playmaker Mesut Ozil has fallen out of favour with his current club Fenerbache, where he has been suspended by his bosses alongside former Watford loanee Ozan Tufan. And following the bombshell incident, the reason for Ozil’s suspension has been revealed.

Ozil suspended
Mesut Ozil has been suspended by current club Fenerbache.
The former Germany international left the Gunners in January 2021 as Mikel Arteta allowed him to move on after cancelling his contract with the north London outfit. Ozil had fallen out of favour at Arsenal and so sealed his switch to the Turkish side, where his current deal still has 27 months to run.
But the midfielder may find himself back on the market following his latest incident.

Reason for Ozil suspension revealed
Mesut Ozil was reportedly suspended by Fenerbache following a verbal altercation with interim manager Ismail Kartal.
The alleged incident between Ozil and Kartal took place during Fenerbahce’s 2-1 home victory against second-place Konyaspor on Sunday. The former Arsenal star, 33, was substituted by his manager at half-time.
It throws the playmaker’s future at his current club up in the air, although there could be a reprieve in sight for him.

Haaland talks take place
Martin Odegaard has confirmed he has spoken to Norway teammate Erling Haaland about his time at Real Madrid as the Borussia Dortmund striker weighs up his options ahead of the summer.
Haaland has been linked with some of the top clubs in Europe as Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been credited with showing interest in signing the forward. And ahead of his blockbuster move at the end of the season, it appears Real Madrid are definitely in contention for landing the striker’s signature.
